This double cask matured whisky is a Bourbon cask expression @ 57.6% which has been finished in Apera barrels for a few months to add a new layer of complexity to this whisky. It has pleasant dryness on the front of tongue with the silkiness of bourbon coming through. It has a distinctive fuller and chewier mouth feel with overtones of honey notes. Very moreish. A cracker!
