The delicious Tasmanian spirit been maturing for three years. One year in a 228l French Oak ex-Shiraz barrel and then decanted into a second fill 20L American Oak ex-bourbon barrel from Heaven Hill Distillery. The delicious Tasmanian new make spirit has combined beautifully with the Shiraz cask (12 months) and the ex-Bourbon cask (24 months), to produce a well-balanced whisky with a lot going on. Vanilla, Caramel and spice on the nose, with the spiciness continuing in the mouth. Layers of violet crumble and burnt toffee then evolve before a lovely smoky finish, which is a nod it its artesian production.
Released at 51%ABV it has been described as “a Whisky drinkers Whisky with a nice smoky finish”.
This will be a very limited release with only 38 bottles available for purchase.
