SYRAH • BOURBON • AGAVE
This four year old single malt is born from one new make spirit, divided and matured in Syrah and Bourbon barrels before being united and finished in an agave cask. The result is a layered, expressive whisky that carries the character of all three barrels while remaining distinctly Australian.
A bright and inviting nose with memories of toffee apple followed by layers of caramel and honeycomb, wrapped in soft vanilla and a gentle gingerbread spice. Full-bodied and expressive on the palate. With confectionary notes of caramel and honeycomb, balanced by vanilla creaminess and warming baking spices. Mid-palate complexity builds with dried fruits—think sultana and fig—interwoven with a peppery spice that adds structure. Lingering roasted almond and gentle oak spice persist, leaving a long, composed finish with a faint echo of dried fruit and soft spice.
